We are one of Europe’s largest and most trusted card issuing partners and we’re proud of our history in designing, manufacturing, personalising and distributing some of the world’s largest card programmes.
Since being founded in 1994 as a manufacturer of gift, loyalty and membership cards, we have grown in both size and stature, producing more than 250 million cards a year for customers in over 60 countries, becoming a market leader in payment and retail card programmes
Part of something bigger
Since October 2019, Thames Technology has been part of Paragon ID, a leader in identification solutions in particular in the e-ID, transport, smart cities, traceability & brand protection and payment sectors. Paragon ID is owned by Grenadier Holdings (formerly Paragon Group). Our environmental commitment
Thames Technology has emerged as a leader in creating eco-friendly card solutions for both the retail and financial sectors, producing all plastic cards using recycled PVC (rPVC) and gift cards using Invercote Duo paperboard as standard.
In 2024, we became the first card manufacturer to offer Mastercard-approved pre-paid paperboard cards for open-loop gift cards, event and compensation cards.
